The push to launching had more great progress over the past 24 hours. I’ve been busy doing my best to setup and configure all the addon services and loose ends that were outstanding.
WHMCS is now fully updated, the knowledgebase has some basic articles to get us started, RoundCube webmail is now installed and the rvsitebuilder license was purchased and installed. It all sounds easy on here but that was most of my night last night.
I spent the better part of this morning researching and reading up on ways to improve the reliability of our hosting plans. I came across some pretty great products / services (CloudLinux, CloudFlare, R1Soft, Varnish, etc) but they’ll all need more research and are likely best suited for down the road.
The two items I did manage to settle on this afternoon are the server backup service and a DNS clustering service. The backup service is where all shared hosting backups will be stored. The process will run daily and will increment weekly and monthly backups. The DNS clustering service allows for added DNS redundancy and also improves website loading times.
Exciting stuff! I’m really hoping to remove the index.html file this weekend and open things up to the public!
